The Town of Brookfield is seeking an experienced driver and equipment operator for part-time, on-call winter road maintenance. Responsibilities will include, plowing, sanding, and loading material into trucks at the Town Garage. Must have a valid CDL with no violations in the last 3 years; employee will also be subject to random drug testing. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Sunday Evening Knitting
Knit with your neighbors on the first and third Sunday evenings during the dark winter months. The library is warm and cozy, tea and coffee are available, and the company is good. 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
2nd installment of taxes due
The 2nd installment for the 2018-2019 tax year is due on Saturday, May 4th. I will be open additional hours on Friday, May 3rd from 4:30-7:00 and on Saturday, May 4th from 9:00-1:00. Postmarks do count if you mail them in by the 4th.
